Every year since its inception, the organisers of Desire Lines, an annual international arts and ecology symposium at Dartington Hall Estate, have commissioned us to create a new project. This important continuing collaboration allows our work to interact with those that are shaping the field of arts and ecology.

After creating we are the rivers we swim through for Desire Lines 2005, we were invited back to Desire Lines 2006 to present a new project. Over the three days of the symposium, propeller took over an office as our headquarters, gathering and presenting research materials. We invited delegates to participate in conversations on diverse issues. We presented outdoor workshops, walks, and meals. We explored the numerous ways in which ecological issues have a bearing on our most basic everyday lives. We experimented with the conversations, using them as material to weave together improvised performances. Elements from these conversations are now part of our accumulative performance archive.
