lectures

Our lectures and talks address issues surrounding the ecological crisis; climate change, perception, consumerism, social history, daydreaming, peak oil, international politics. We are keenly aware, however, of the need to break down the wall between lecturer and audience. Throughout the process of constructing a lecture we therefore prioritise the role of the others in the room. We are informal, we set up space around the ideas, and we encourage. Using these devises, we actively change the relationship from traditional lecturer/audience, to a space in which every person in the room is a participant.
Our first lecture, we are the rivers we swim through, involved all five members of propeller. It was commissioned by Desire Lines, and subsequently toured to various venues. Subsequent lectures and talks involve one or two members and have taken place in a variety of contexts, please click below for further information: we are the rivers we swim through We create lectures for a range of audiences and places. If you are interested in booking a lecture, or commissioning a new piece of writing/performance for a particular context. Please contact us for further information. |
