"Looking more closely at the world in order to learn from it, to transform not only the way we view nature but also the way we live our lives." Fritjof Capra

We have established a series of indoor and outdoor workshops, typically instigating focused conversations on ecological themes, or taking people out for a walk and setting them a series of perception exercises. Our passion is the world around us, and how people interact with the vast, complex ecologies of the world. We bring people - the public, art students, symposium delegates - outdoors, and share with them exercises that open up their perceptions of their environment - birds, weather systems, traffic, grass, buildings, etc. - by slowing their bodies down, grounding them in the here and now, and arousing their curiosity and creativity.

The aim of these exercises is to focus people's attention on the abundant life around them. Our research into life systems means we can explain in accessible ways the complex systems at work, but we also explore, through exercises and conversations, the participants' feelings and opinions. We also include time discussing ideas related to the perception exercises. The initial stimulus may be, for example, a quote from a book, a topical event, a note from one of our notebooks, a dream or an anecdote.

We create workshops specific to different contexts and landscapes. Please contact us for further information.
